Principle : Crude fibre refers to the residue of a feed that is insoluble after successive boiling with dilute acid and alkali. In the Weende’s method when the sample is subjected to acid and alkali digestion, we obtain a residue comprising ash (mineral matter) of the feed and the resistant fraction of carbohydrate. When the residue is ignited the organic matter gets oxidized leaving the inorganic residue or ash. Thus the difference in weight of the residue before and after ashing gives the weight of crude fibre.

Application : For determination of crude fibre, NDF, ADF, ADL, Cellulose, Hemicelluloses, Lignin & related parameters in plant materials, compound feed, food etc. (In accordance with weende, van soest and other recognized methods

Unique Design
The FIBRA PLUS is well engineered with precise mechanical accuracy for perfect alignment of sintered silica crucibles with borosilicate extraction vessels, since the system needs to be absolute leak proof while involving hot boiling alkali and acid aplications. The anti corrosive viton adaptor with inner 'O-ring' creates a perfect seal.

Micro Brilliant Controller
The system has a stand alone Micro Brilliant programmable Energy Control unit with a separate housing with digital display of temperature of infrared heat source. The microprocessor based controls incorporates various parameters, ike set temperature, actual temperature, auto tuning, auto sensor break protection, auto error diagnostics, auto over temperature protection with digital display of parameters, Auto process over feature with optional digital timer.

Highly Versatile
The system is highly versatile designed with individual suction valves for filtration and individual pressure control valves for declogging, enabling the user to handle conveniently based on the sample load. Unlike other systems the FIBRA PLUS can handle either eight samples simultaneously or each sample individually or combination of more than two samples at the same time based on the user's requisite.

Absolute Economy
The system incorporates Efficient Thermal Ceramic Infrared Energy Source for quick heating and entire process of automation is designed to save time and for easy handling with less manpower by single user. The system occupies less table space and involves less recurring cost of reagents per sample.

Cold Extraction System
Each model of FIBRA PLUS system has corresponding Cold Extraction System for partial defatting to reduce the fat content by washing in cold solvent. This will enable trouble free estimation of fibre by reducing the fat content, removing sticky and fatty layers of the sample which helps in accurate estimation of fibre content.

Cold Extraction Unit Model : CES 6

  • Extraction at ambient temperature for solvent dehydration of fibre residues
